We all know the thrill of the hunt. You go out looking for a pile of steel and copper, and sometimes you find something completely unexpected that's worth far more than its weight in scrap.

I'll start: I once went to a residential cleanout in North Philly, and the owner was getting rid of an old box of books. In the back of one of the books, I found a handful of old, antique coins that were worth a few hundred bucks! It was a total surprise, and a good reminder that you never know what's hidden in plain sight.
